# Report Template Guide

The initial catalogue contains eight report families. Templates define report type, classification, default formats, section schema, chart schema and appendix schema.

## Report context

- Executive and compliance reports may be generated without a context ID.
- Project reports require a project UUID.
- Assessment reports require a technical assessment UUID.
- Financial reports require a project or client UUID and `context_type`.
- Audit reports require an audit UUID.
- Client reports require a client organization UUID.

## Output behavior

- PDF: fixed A4 management copy with watermark, chart, appendix and QR/hash verification.
- DOCX: editable Unicode Open XML document for professional refinement and controlled versioning.
- XLSX: editable Summary, Data and Appendices sheets with report metadata, visual chart snapshot and verification QR.

Templates are a governance mechanism, not a substitute for professional review. Legal, financial and regulated reports must be approved by the relevant accountable function.
